IF my Fuzzy foggy memory serves me correctly, yo need some pullup resistors on those RTC data lines . . . I THINK. Since I never actually assembled that project, I am not sure.
If you do not believe in MAGIC, Consider how currency has value simply by printing it, and is then traded for real assets.
