Hey cnc,
This "hood" snaps on over the ic. What the part in the picture is doing is, jumping on to the appropriate pins of the MCU that are pcb connected to an I2C memory chip. At that point, reading the memory is doable. Why would I want to do that, you ask? Well, I'm a burglar alarm installer, by trade, and the Pic app I'm working on will "sniff" for the "installer codes" on existing alarm panels, therefore allowing me to access the alarm panel's programming (I will be able to work on systems that were not installed by me). I hope that made sense? I have successfully "read" and harvested 4 brands of alarm panels installer codes. I would just like to make it neater than a breadboard.
Any help would be awesome!
Thanks again,
Chris
