    Megahertz,

I don't have that particular book that you are refering to. I do have the one that Normet is mentionning in his post "Designing Embedded Systems with PIC Microcontrollers, Second Edition: Principles and Applications". This book focuses a lot on asembly and the last few chapters are dedicated to C language. It is a great book, but the asembly part is way over my head . The C language part I can handle it.

If you want to get a feeling of the book you are going to buy just go to amazon.com and check it out before you buy. Click on the link "Search inside this book" and take a look at the "content" section.

    I hope that this helps,

    Robert

with two people giving the same recommendation, I think I will buy the one which you have mentioned and leave the 8-bit one aside for now. Thanks guys.
