    Red face IR Spotlight

    Good day

I just want to find out how would I build an Infrared spotlight to use with my Sony DCR-HC28E
    camcorder to see at night?

Can I just purchase a couple of IR LEDs and connect them to a power supply, or is it more difficult than that?

I guess it would depend on the distance and spread at that distance.
This may give you an idea

Thank you very much for your feedback!!

If I need to connect eg 10 LEDs to work together in a spotlight, will it work if I connect them in parallel to a 5v power supply and then add a magnifying glass as a lens?

If the power supply will handle the amps then yes.

    Default and a lens

    Hi,

Donīt forget to get a lens and put infront of the LEDs. You can try using high intensity RED led and they will give you a good estimation of the final result.
