    Default DS1307 problem

I'm in the process of taking a project from the EasyPIC5 development board to a prototype on stripboard. I've just added the DS1307 RTC and wired it as per the schematic for the plug-in module (http://www.mikroe.com/eng/downloads/...matic_v100.pdf), however the LCD displays the time as 00:00 which I would expect for the first time it was powered up, but the time doesn't advance, ie after several minutes it still shows 00:00. - I've checked the links for continuity / shorts and it all checks out.

I assume that the PIC is reading the DS1307 as I've tried a different RTC module (see thread lcd problem) which shows 10:10 as the time, when plugged into the board (prior to me adding the ds1307 components) but again the time didn't advance.

Any suggestions on things to try ?

    Default Just Ignore me !

I've just rigged up a wire to ground the switch inputs so I could access the menu and was able to set uo a date and time - so all is now working !!
