A commercial serial bootloader that has encryption. The price looks to be the only issue ..... well, that and it only works with 3 chips.

Walter, I'm afraid it ain't goin' to happen' at that price..... ;-)
The one from Brush Electronics is priced reasonably at $150 but seems it's not meant to be used with PBP and I'd really prefer something that works instead of me trying to hack something together.
