I have an application for a 24GHz 3-digit doppler radar. My working range from testing the demod stage is about 150ft. My highest doppler shift at 100MPH is about 7.2kHz. Since I am reading to the nearest 1MPH I thought about counting the duration of a pulse width (after the analog amp and low pass filter). Since I am looking at high going pulse I should see 1/2 of the doppler cycle and convert it to speed.

Has anyone done this? Does anyone have a better way of extracting speed from the doppler shift?
