    Fair enuff,
    seems there is an existing program that does it, but looks to be part of a commercial package.
    I posted the idea here so anyone could do it (if they like the idea).
    I'm not much of a Windows programmer.

    For what is worth, the attached Excel file decodes the segments for a serial 7-segment display.
