Default Save config settings to hex file

How do I save the fuse (config?) settings to the hex file?
My new programmer keeps telling me that the processor isn't saved in the hex file.

I do not know that one.
Look for someplace in the programmers software to turn off setting the configs and then set them in your code.

Custom Computer Services makes a PIC C complier that we use here at work. They are also the ones that sell the programmer. So far I haven't been very happy with it.

A lot of us here like the PicKit2 sold by Micro Chip.
You might want to look at it?
