    Default Altimeter

I am wanting to build a altimeter for my RC plane. Does anyone know of some examples of this being done already? Sure would be easier then starting from scratch.

If I must start from scratch. I imagine it would be simplest to use barometric pressure to do this. What is the easiest and cheapest thing there? What would the best PIC to use be? I imagine to keep it small and light the less pins the better. Integrated oscillator may help too.

I only have PicBasic Standard but may be forced to go Pro for A/D.

    Thanks.

you don't need to upgrade to PRO to have some a/d conversion. POKE and PEEK to AD converter do the job. see this link
http://www.melabs.com/resources/samples.htm#pbc choose adc71.bas. Should be enough to start a/d
