    Default IGBT question

I'm not every familiar with IGBT's but I've attached a drawing. If I replace the 120V signal with a DC voltage, will the IGBT still work in this configuration?

Christopher4187, the device shown in your schematic is not an IGBT but a simple TRIAC.

Triac works only with AC. Under no circumstance apply DC voltage to a triac.

So the consequent answer to your question is : NO IT WILL NOT WORK.
