    Hi Techbuilder,
    here is the datasheet for the PICKIT2. Your Schematic looks correct to me. What manner of problem are you experiencing ?

    Well I tried using it and it stated that vdd pin is invalid or something like that
    Are you powering the PIC with an independent power supply, or just the USB ? It will accept either, but not both together. There is a check box in the PICKit2 software to enable power from usb. Are there any loads on the 3 programming pins ? If so that will cause it to complain.
