    Default Shorting out a triac

Hi, I think i know the answer to this one but as im messing with 240V again i thought its best to ask here first.

I want to have a triac and opto isolator that allows a PIC chip to control a bulb. I also want to be able to turn the bulb on using a normal switch. Can i just put the switch across the 2 high voltage pins on the triac? Would that cause a problem if i accidentally turned the switch on while the triac is controlling the bulb?

I know i could have the switch short out the low voltage side but the switch is already connected and im just adding a triac to it but i can re-wire if shorting out the high voltage side would cause a problem.
