Type in the coordinates in the search box.
Then zoom in all the way, it'll look like a satellite is watching you from overhead. Wave ...![]()

Hi Darrel,
thanks for the reply
I wanted something like this
gps data in to mcu i parse the nmea strings i want i then output long and lat to the serial port a map program reads data from the port and shows position and will update in real time without me having to manually enter the co-ords like on google map, ever heard of anything like this?
Just found some software called earth bridge
looks like it can relay my real time data to google earth, exactly what i want

That's pretty Cool.
I may have to take my laptop for a drive.

There's also APRS if you happen to be a ham radio operator. With APRS, your gps is connected to a ham radio transmitter with a device like Tinytrak http://www.byonics.com/tinytrak/ (or TNC) . Receivers all over the United States (and rest of the word) then broadcast your position to the internet, where it can be seen on many different APRS map applications. One that uses Google Maps http://aprs.fi/
And here's a solution for Google Earth: https://aprskml.dev.java.net/
