Certainly going to at least be very difficult if not impossible to get the specs for that. Not to mention that you would have to build a circuit that could feed it a fair amount of current so parts of it could get hot.

I would go the easy route, and buy a serial thermal printer on ebay for about $40. We use a lot of Epson TM-88 M129A serial thermal printers at my work, and they are pretty indestructible. My search on ebay found a few for under $40.
