ChatBox Good / Bad Poll

Thanks Lester. I found it pretty annoying to have to scroll-down below that huge awful yellow section every time I checked in to look at new posts....;)

FINALLY I feel like I can contribute:)

I believe it should stay, no one is forced to use it so what does it hurt.

And it gives a place for those who feel compelled to yap a place off the formal track for yapping.

Communication is important so having a formal and informal place is most excellent.

I feel the ChatBox is a good idea and is worth keeping around. You can have simple questions answered easily without having to start a new thread. The only problem I have found is response time of other people. If other people are willing to participate, the ChatBox could be a very useful tool.

Hello.If I may, I'd suggest to move chatbox to a topic/section/something (I don't know the right term) of its own. That way it won't get in a way and if you need it you can always open it in a new tab, or whatever suites you best. I'm aware of a minimize button at the top right corner of it but it's quite annoying to have to click on it whenever a new page opens.

Are you logged in when that happens? If I have it minimized it stays that way.

If you use a " Script Blocker " it will supress the script that tells it to stay minimized, I use " No Script " in Firefox and have to allow scripts globaly in order to not see the confounded annoying thing.

I don't mind if you keep chat box, because I have lot of option for chat.

I don't like the positioning of the "search Messages" box... I get confused when doing a site search!

It could actually be now converted to a search box.
Coming to the forum is mostly for a search, isn't it?
People have been using the chat box very rarely lately. Why not change it to a search box?

I feel that its OK, sometimes, so limit it to just 1 forum area.
