Jan Axelson, the author of Serial Port Complete has just informed me that she has a new 2nd edition of Serial Port Complete that will be released in early November.

PS: By the way, thanks for the Assambler help with the PIC18F448 (USART). Your code did not work but I managed to make it work by doubleing the pointer constant (odd). Using PBP 2.50 works fine; right now I'm reading the generated assambler on MPLAB to see where I got it wrong.
If I can make the ICD run on the PBP with assambler I'll know what happens (reading your tutorial).
Jan writes in a very clear and accessible style. I think I have all of her previous books. Interestingly, she started out studying psychology and learned electronics in the job she had to support herself while going to school. I think that makes her one of the few people truly qualified to write about both Nuts and Volts.Quote:
