DS1868 Digital Pot

Hi,

I try to control one DS1868 (dallas) Digital pot by using Pic Basic Pro.
Do you know how to control or can you show how to control the pot. ?

I am planning to use it with SHIFTOUT command but the data sheet is too complicate for me to understand how to control.
It has a 3 wire command line (Clk-Data-RST) and the control code should be 17 bits (2 bytes+1bit) I am not sure if I give the one bit as one byte or only one bit. It will be very helpfull if you give me some ideas about the control.
