Hello. Could anybody please explain me how is it that a Serial communication works??? I mean I know that the levels are from 0 volts to 5 volts, I understand that, but what I want to know is for example, if my pic is not receiving nor transiting anything what voltage should I read on the Rx and Tx pins?? How is it that the pic knows what ascii caracter is the one that is incomimg?? Or if anyone has a related link where I can find information...
