PIC to PIC cooms using PICDEM 2 Plus

Hi,

Sorry this question has been asked loads of times but here it goes. I'm using 18F452 on PICDEM 2 Plus x by 2. Just some really silly questions. I want to get these 2 communicating. Well 1 transmitting data (NMEA) and the other receiving. To actually connect them can I just put a wire from RC6/TX straight into the other PIC RC7/RX (also on another PICDEM board) is it as simple as that or am I just simple thinking that. Any code that might help would be appreciated also.
