www.sparkfunelectronics.com for the CP2102(?) USB interface chips.
or
www.ftdichip.com for the FT232 serial USB chips.
Or just go with a software driven serial port since you're using a 16F84...or switch to a 16F628A, like a 16F84 on steroids, more memory, more functions, etc.
