I2C compass - Philips KMZ51

Hi,

I'm planning on using an I2C compass module (CMPS03) in a project. Looking at the specs, it uses two fluxgate magnetometers and a PIC.


The PIC can run dwn to 2.2v, but the magnetometer datasheets specify 5-9v input. Thinking about how a magnetometer works though, I can see no reason why it shouldn'e run at lower voltages. The rest of my circuit runs at 3.3v. I can of course just try it and see when I get hold of the module, but does anyone here have any experience?
