DT's Instant Interrupts

Just wanted to thank Darrel for this WONDERFUL tool! I have tried interrupts before, got them working with difficulty (and a lot of swearing), but Instant Interrupts made it easy.

In this case, this device is a bit of an emergency and very important. My mother-in-law is suffering from dementia, and has home care during the day. Unfortunately, she can't stay by herself at night anymore, and is sleeping at our house. The problem is that she sometimes wanders and could get hurt.

As a result, my wife closes her mother's bedroom door at night, but doesn't sleep well, worrying that her mom is up and wandering. I have put together a door monitoring unit that uses Xbees for the serial data link and signals up in our bedroom if the door opens. My wife is sleeping much better, and my mother-in-law is safer.

It's kinda nice to do something that's needed to solve a problem. Not just create something because I want it.
