Cheap eBay GU10 LED bulbs potentially dangerous
Has anyone else seen this?

I have about 18 halogen GU10s in the garage that I wanted to change to LEDs; save on electricity, lower the heat emanation, etc. The LEDs at the local stores are ridiculously expensive and was starting to look on eBay.

Have tested a lot of GU10 LED lamps. Most of them chinese and a bit dangerous. Low insulation measures and bad design.
But that on the video you posted takes the prize of the most dangerous ever! Who are these stupid people designing such commercial products???
Lately I have tested LEDs form V-Tac company. Very-very bright and good design overall.

The GU10 bulbs I have are all glass-like and are from a big hardware store. I will enjoy the heat in the winter, but it's the summer that I'm concerned with.
Damn, I should have thought of setting up dual light systems; LED for summer and halogen for winter.

I really do not like the idea of having something too hot near me or a sensitive materials. So opted for LEDs as much as possible. But out in the market are a lot of garbage. Either dangerous or not having good CRI or are too cold in color.
Also LED lighting has a long and bright way. New materials like graphene I believe will help in making LED chip much more efficient.
