Serout2 using flowpin

I have a device that echos back each character sent to it, im using serout2 and serin2 to receive some of this data
can I use this same serin2 pin for a flowpin.

also Im having trouble reading what type of brackets are being used in the manual.


key:
SEROUT2 PORTB.2[\PORTB.1],16468,[key,]["#:R002"]

SEROUT2 PORTB.2,16468,[";"]

The pins are separate.

Here is an example from the online manual.
