Putting icons onto buttons
Hi, I've got some small tactile switches that I want to use for a project with some of these caps on them.
Is there an easy way to put icons onto the buttons. For example: up/down arrows, "OK" and a return arrow. It would be nice if there was something where I could print the icons out then transfer them to the buttons. If that's not possible then maybe I could buy transfers or mini sticker sets somewhere.
I would like the icons to last as long as possible before being rubbed off. They will probably be pressed quite often and may be used in slightly damp conditions.
Edit: If theres anywhere that sells round buttons for 12mm switches in the UK with the icons already on then that would also be an option.

I think the most common method to print on them is silkscreen. Here is one example:

You could probably find a silk screening company to do it for you. For a DIY silkcreen example (textile example):

I have used this company before to make labels
www.yourlabelsnow.com
They make all kind of sticky labels, big, small, transparent, golden, silver, round, squared, etc. They claim that they put a "film" or layer on top of the labels to prevent wear off. So far I'm happy with their work. This could be an option for you. You could probably find a similar company in GB.

Re: Putting icons onto buttons
Labels might be a good way to get started. I really like the idea of silkscreen. I never imagined that would be possible to do at home.
Thanks for the suggestions :D
