foil ribbon cable?
I have a project that requires a very thin ribbon cable. I have seen ribbon cables in commercial products that are film over copper foil. These cables are extremely thin and use push-in connectors. I have been unable to find this type of cable in most part catalogs. Can anyone tell me the proper name for this type of cable and connectors and where they may be purchased?
Thanks!

Re: foil ribbon cable?
I have found and bought them from digikey. I am not sure how I found them, and the part number is at work. I imagine I searched for interconnect stuff. The ones I got had pins on 1 end and a plug on the other.

This company makes conductive printing on thin plastic films. You can ask them for free samples.

Re: foil ribbon cable?
We use a lot of these from DigiKey http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/US2011/P0074.pdf
You can get them in all sizes with solder tabs or female connectors on the ends. They're very thin, but strong and flexible.
