what problem is the active pullup bus chip going to solve ?
it will make zero difference to pbp's bit-banged commands and the mssp port would have no issues at 400kHz bus speed anyway [providing bus...
I would say, that for relatively simple coding routines, PBP knowledge of AI had been improved, but just when you ask something more complex, you'll get this:
Just checked and JLCPCB doesn't have any in stock. They don't have any other I2C accelerator chips (that I can see). Now I understand the gripes on the...
That graph shows a rise time of 1uS by only using a 15.8k pull-up resistor. It also shows that by using the LTC4311 you get an almost perfect waveform. It looks like this LTC4311 chip is exactly what...
If you keep messing up the "comma-separated" file prep like I do (the SAVE feature from Open Office is not smooth), consider using a script if you are I.S. savvy.
If you connect a logical analyzer to the serial lines, you know for sure if data is being transmitted or not. That would have saved you a lot of time. I always put in my PCB designs a testing point...

Since this question has come up again, I thought I'd throw this module out to the masses. It is something I worked on a while back, with DT's help. Amid life's other priorities, it got put on the shelf to collect dust.
The basic idea is that by adding the module as an INCLUDE and inserting a couple of commands inside your code, you can have the PIC send timing data to your PC via the hardware serial port. It's made for 18F PICs (although some 16Fs may work too). You also need a timer that is not being used for anything else.
1) Instructions are included, as well as a small example.
2) It worked well for me, and as I recall, DT in testing.
3) Use it however you want.
4) I won't be able to offer much support, but figure there are enough knowledgeable folks around here that can help those who need it.
