Hello all.
Has anyone seen or heard of anything that will allow a PIC to put some text on a VGA or similar screen? Even a composite video screen would be OK.
I don't mean just a crawler across the bottom of the display but something like 16 or so lines of 40 characters?

Don't think a PIC is fast enough to produce VGA. You may want to look at the Parallax Propeller. It has VGA and Composite video built into it.

I did use one ezVga board, the board use 5 Volts PS and use serial commands. I write on vga screen in color both text and graphic. The only negative, you cannot save screen.

Hello,

Look at the BoB3 and BoB4 boards offered by www.decadenet.com. It looks like they will do what you want to do.
