Hi,

I'm new to this forum.
I'm writing here because I'm looking for a way to control light made with color led (rgb one or an assembly of a red, a green and a blue) with dmx signal. I'm a light designer (but not an electronician) and I want to built small rgb light (with a max of colors). I searched the web and find this site :
http://www.response-box.com/rgblights/
It was a solution to my project. I studied the project with the guy of response-box and we found a way to do what I want by hacking his product (by changing connections and cables that's all).
I bought him some of his product (for a value of 350$) and I'm still waiting for the products. Every time I tried to call him, there is nobody (one time I managed to talk with him on the phone but he hang off quickly pretending the connection was not good), he tried to make me believe that he's sending me the products and every time it's not true. It's now three months till I paid the products and I've received nothing.
It's now clear that I will never see my 350$ nor the products, but the think I don't understand is that this guy has a blog about his project, is an electronician who develop electronics solutions for people and he seems to be a croock.
Does his products are out of date (and he still want to make money with it without delivering them) ??
I really don't understand the logic of this kind of behavior.
Thanks for giving me some lights.

By the way do you know some products that could be some help in my project. I don't want to develop, I think there are many good electronicians on earth that have done that. I want to collaborate with somebody.
Thanks

By collaborate you mean what? Reap what others have sown?

What I mean by collaborating ?
I'm a programmer (Max/MSP Jitter and Python with panda3D for 3D project). I'm working for theater and bands and "beaux-arts" institute (in france it's school for arts) as light designer, vj (I make original videos). I'm also building multimedia installation (sound, light, sensors, vidéo, ...). When I develop a new technology for theater, ... people comes to me to know how I made it, ... and sometimes are inspired by my job and also by the job of people whith whom I collaborate. I'm not an electronician. I can join the work of an electronician with my work, that's all. I'm sure that there is many thinks to do in this field (original color led light is a good example). I'm sure that you can build original led color light for a reasonnable price for use on stage. And I'm sure many people will be interested in it. My job is to tell what the constraint of stage are, to manipulate the light the way people like it then to join the energies of an electronician and me. I'll never be able to be the electronician in place of the electronician. That's not my job.

I already had sent 350$ to response-box and have received nothing except false tracking numbers.

I'm afraid to have been a little impatient. Products seems on their way now.
Sorry for the panic here.

Pixels have arrived today. Everything well packaged.

great and clean design, seems robust.

I'm still impatient to use it on stage this time. I'm sure this will be tremendous.
