Hi all,

i've seen some small infrared temperature gauges that read temperature without contact.
They use an infrared to sense the temperature and display it in a small lcd.

How do these things work ???

Anyone knows ?

Thanks
Rui

Melexis has a nice Pyro IR temp sensor here:

They also have several examples with PIC source code for interfacing to their sensors.

Bruce, Skimask,

Thanks guys for the information ;)

Bruce,

Too bad that just the sensor is as expensive as the complete gauge it self :(
