I work on DC Motor parameters identification or estimation using microcontrollers, so if one can help me what is the different between online estimation and offline estimation.

what type of dc motors, HP, Kw, stepper, FHP, also need to know loading and L & R components (inductance and resistance). Is that the type of stuff?
