Hi Folks

I have accidently set a code protect fuse to ON, and now I am having trouble erasing the pic (16F628)

I use IC-Prog to program the PIC but, the 'erase all' feature doesn't work now that its code protected.

According to the icsp manual, there is a set procedure to erase a protected chip (page 3-187) but how does one do this using ic-prog?

Anyone know? I need to know quick!

Cheers

OOPS, bad news Squibcakes :( But i'm not sure of what i'll tell you. Even your chip is code protected, you can reprogram it again and again but you'll not be able to read it back or erase it.

i refer to this thread...

hope it will work for you... case not must buy another PIC
