EasyPIC5 Board, Good? Bad?

Looks like a nice board to me, but I haven't used it.

They do offer insane pricing compared to what you'll find in the U.S. market for similar stuff.

Check with http://www.findchips.com on just their AMN11112 PIR sensor for a real
head-banger.

You only need to buy 25,000 of them from DigiKey to get a price of $18.72 per unit, but ME
sells the same PIR sensor, on a board, for $13.50 USD. Yikes...!

You would be hard-pressed to build a PIC dev board like the ones ME offers for anywhere
near the same price, so I say go for it.

Don't be surprised if EasyPIC6 comes out shortly after you get one though..;o}

I bought the EasyPIC3 a while back. Excellent value and good people to deal with. I am not using the ME BASIC I bought at the same time because it requires a major change from the simple PBP BASIC to a structured language with as much overhead as C. Yes the floating point and peripheral support such as MMC/SD is attractive but haven't found a project in the last 5 years that I can't solve with PBP.

Cheers
Brian
