driver amps

hi folks,
I have a 18V 3A cordless drill motor. I want to mod it for a servo application. The bigger driver I found is a SN754410 which covers up to 36V...Ok, but only 1A.

If using them of course identically: Is it possible to connect 3 of theese IC's so to sum its amps 1A + 1A + 1A to my motor ?

An L6203 H-bridge might do it for you.Its good up to 48v and 4amps.But you must attach it to a good heat sink or it will fry.

i got surprised when I discovered that the motor was really a 18V 12Amps!!!, then I got to know that such kind of application is better in the dirty way... with mosfets and all that stuff,

Anyway the info you gave me is usefull for another proyect I have in mind, thxs!
