WINPIC users

Hello,

I'm looking for WINPIC users.

Have some trouble while programming a PIC16F684 in its SOIC version and would need some advice.

This tool is only for flashing a pic?
You can only set the config fuses for the PIC nothing else.
Take a look at the datasheet for your PIC and you will solve your problem.

I use WINPIC mostly and PicKit2 when I'm stuck, like now.

Even PicKit2 generates an error "Programming failed at Program Memory Adress 0x00000D".

I just bought those two PICs and doubt they are dead since I never used them before.

I'll have a look at the "Config2" word. Maybe, this will help.

Would you have more detailed info about this, I would appreciate.
