Hello everyone
i have managed to get the DS1337 to work the way i want and it
was easier than i thought.
But my next project requires a real time clock with time of year alarm
Example when the unit is sent off after manufacturing i want to be able to trigger an alarm in exactly a years time.
so i just wanted to know if there is a RTC that has this onboard

Best Regards
Toni

I have not used a RTC, but why don't you let your PIC chip, handle it? Store Beginning set date it in EEProm, and check it once a day or so.

Does it HAVE to be EXACTLY a year... to the precise second?

Almost every major product that's designed here has a Service Due timer... something that binks an LED to irritate the customer... and in that instance it doesn't matter if it's a year or 53 weeks or 13 months... eventually it happens and they end up booking a service call.
