I was going to implement the handphone based controller to control the door alarm. The handphone will able to communicate to the PIC. Then PIC will direct the command to activate the alarm and so on. I;m now in the first stage of the implementation. I hoped that somebody could able to guide me thru this. Thanks you very much.
This will include wireless sistem. What component should I needed?
Thanks. Please somebody guide me or give some hint or tips and tricks

Not following what you mean by 'handphone communicates with PIC'.
As far as components, what did you have in mind to use?

I was trying to use nokia 3310 to communicate with the PIC16F877. For example when I sending 1 via msg to PIC and PIC will activated the door alarm. When I send 0 to PIC and the door alarm will deactivated.
At the same time, when door alarm is corrupted (got ppl break into the house), I will be able to noticed it thru the handphone.

There are some kind of protocol that I have to consider about but I was beginner in this kind of project. I hoped that sombody will be able to provide me some guideline.

Thanks you very much......
