I am currently using a 2X20 LCD that was from melabs. I am trying to look for one that is much small. Something like a 4x1 or a 4x2.
Has someone used one like this before. Where can I find them. I have found one from Lumex that is 4x1 but it does not have any driver, and I have never built one like that.
If anyone has any info, please let me know.
Thanks
Randy

Try allelectronics.com Maybe they have something that will work...

this kind of display does not have any logic on board.
They usually have 3½ or 4 decimal digits.
To drive this Display you would need a LCD Display controller chip that generates all the signals for you.
If you are after a "small" solution: I have found some nice 8 character Displays with embedded I2C controller, and they are $2,50 only.
Search the Web (or ebay) for: "DSM-0822A"

(sorry, it's in german)
