Serin problem using portc on a pic18f2610

Im using a pic 18F2610, when I use serin2 on portb.2 I get good data but when I use serin2 on portc.3 I just get zeros on my lcd display. Ive included my config for the chip but im asuming I have not switched off the extra features of portc.

ADCON0 = 0'disable A/D

Problem solved: Just got replacement chip today all ports ok. All this hasle for a bit more code space. Just give me an pic16f876 with 64k and ill be happy.
