Hello Gang
I'm new commer to PBP from another complier. So far I think PBP was the
right choice for my projects. There is however a few hangs up with the
programmer I use. So, perhaps maybe you kind folks could shed some light
on the programmers and ICD you like to use PBP or the programmer you
folks built.

Thanks in advance
Gordon

Here's what i have
Microchip ICD-2
Microchip PicStart Plus
BK Precision BK844a
Mecanique MicroCode Studio PLUS (ICD, Bootloader,.. ,.. )

Here's what i use daily
BK Precision BK844a
Mecanique MicroCode Studio PLUS

Rarely use an ICD. My ICD-2 is gathering dust.

BTW, i heard there's few ICD-2 Clones. The first i remind is on the following link.
http://www.electro-tech-online.com/micro-controllers/21937-yet-another-icd2-emulator.html

They did few change and improvement on it, so read the whole thread.

Welcome here and have fun!

Hi Steve
Thanks for your input. As a matter of fact I built an ICD-2 clone
awhile back. Some folks say it can be used with PBP as a programmer.
Although I haven't figured this out yet. As of right now the only
programmer I'm able to use is a JDM that I built. Only works about
50% of the time. Still trying t get the bootloader to work with the
16F88, keep getting the "Reset Microcontoller to access bootloader"
error. Must be my circuit at fault.
