Hi, Why is it that PICBasic 2.33 cannot cannot hand SELECT..CASE statements and it cannot handle PIC16F628A only PIC16F628?

because your version is outdated. 16F628A have been added in 2.43, SELECT CASE in 2.40

The current version is 2.47. You'll have to buy an update.
