Hey, hope you all are fine and having a very very good time with lot of fun! I took some vacations but now it seems I´m back again, so, my next question is: How difficult would it be to develop an electronic lock? You see, a friend of mine ask for one of those lock to her office and she asked me if I could make a simple one for her an of course, there is money in her wallet! So I told her I´d checked it out and I´ll let her know. Any suggestion? All I want to know is the idea of how it works and how simple or difficult could it be to make one with pics. Actually I though of a keypad, and lcd screen and one or two codes, but I have one problem.. How do I open or close the office! Help please. I will be very thankfull since I haven´t got a job and I´d like to have money at least for the movies!!

Best Regards to all.

Greetings to steve, if you read this, why don´t you send me your e-mail? I´d like to send you some photos and videos of the little robot we made, the one with the camera remember?

Hi,

Are you asking for the hardware (Electric Door Lock mechanism)
or are you asking for the software?

Type of door? (See picture below).

If somebody break-in, it could be that you end up on the list of the suspects
for the police. (Yes! Like the movies).

Hi,

For the hardware:

In which country do you live?
(Lock mechanisms differ from country to country).

Best regards,

Luciano

Hi,

You need an electric lock mechanism that will replace the existing one
with minimal modifications to the door and where a standard key can
still be used. (The key is used by the office cleaner, as backup during
power interruptions, in case of fire, ....).

What is the brand and model of the existing lock mechanism?

If your friend is renting the office, you should ask first for permission
the owner of the building before you modify the door.

Best regards,

Luciano
