Hi,

I'm buiding a new card, and before doing a mistake, i would like to know if we can connect ON/OFF buttons as inputs on RC, RD and RE ports on the PIC16F877.
I ask you because i saw, on documentation, that they are Schimdt trigger and not TTL or CMOS ports.

Please, let me know about this.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Olivier

You can connect as many Buttons (Switches) to as many PIC pins as you wish.

You can also use AN0 to read multiple buttons via different resisitor values.

This way, you use one pin and have many buttons; leave all other pins for other jobs.
