I am looking for PICbasic (or assembly) code for PIC876 to implement a slave MODBUS RTU device. The PIC would accept MODBUS RTU commands (usually 0x and 4x registers) and reply with the appropriate data. The MODBUS registers would be mapped in software to PIC variables or arrays. RS232 using SERIN2 etc is fine . I can always interface a RS485 chip later.

I have a fair amount of experience with PIC basic, but time contraints bar me from attempting this myself. I am willing to pay if someone is willing to do provide this code and guarantee that it has been tested to work with industrial RTU masters. I would test with the devices we wish to interface with.

For all commercial proposals, please use private messaging.

Thanks.
