I had the blue cylinder type with the white tip; worked "ok".

But this guy removes nearly everything in one stroke. Awesome results with the larger SS-02 model..

Thanks for sharing. Up to this moment the only tool that worked well for me is the Hakko sucker but as it is big and needs power is not always practical to use.

Going to order that one!

I just checked to see if there's other "blue models", turns out there is. I had this one; worked ok, but that tip melts slowly and becomes ineffective as it shortens.

That silver one though; it's freaking awesome. Be careful not to lose that flexible hose; it's very important to get maximum effect.

Careful when you open the package. Mine came with a longer tube for repairs.

There are replacement silicon tubes available. Not the teflon rubbish...

I've just tried a bit of model aircraft silicone fuel pipe on my blue solder sucker and it now works a lot better. The original teflon tube needs shortening a bit so the nozzle / fuel tube can be cleared of solder. Clear silicone fuel tube would be better.

That's a great idea!

After cleaning the tube, what do you use for lubrication?

Never needed to lubricated it. Oil will clog up the bits of solder instead of them being ejected.
