Has anyone experience with the NB-IoT systems?

Does such a device communicate directly (through mobile network) to another such device?

For example this device (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001900848093.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.4 3.36452eb65RbDnc&algo_pvid=95743fa9-cbb8-412d-adfc-e7c93d2a2cce&algo_exp_id=95743fa9-cbb8-412d-adfc-e7c93d2a2cce-21&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21EUR%2121.85%2121.85%21%21%21%21% 21%40211bea7b16859585644631764d07d7%21120000180641 40893%21sea%21GR%21101297834&curPageLogUid=CDeheEMRLaD3) has RS-232 and RS-485 support. Will the date be sent to another such device or do I need a server to relay the data? I need to connect two points that have no Line-of-sight connection, so mobile network is one good solution.

As far as I understand it, it's just like GPRS.... You need sim, server to connect etc...
Difference to GPRS is just bandwith, power etc.

Thanks. That's what I thought too.

But whatever info I found was not describing the basics of the operation.
