new to entire language
seems fairly easy...
this may seem like common question

has anyone written code to set up a lcd and keypad unit

i'm using a pic18f452 with mplab using the pbpw.exe
lcd is connected to port b
using 4 data ports and pins
ebit port b pin 1
rsbit port b pin 0

keypad is connected to port c
not really sure how to write code for keypad

red led connected to port d 0
green led connected to port d 1
blue led connected to port d 2

please respond with an easy example: that demonstrates this keypad n lcd feature.

like

(turn on program)
lcd turns on and keypad is active
lcd prints a greeting such as:
"welcome"
then after a pause it jumps to a menu
"1. turn on red led"
"2. turn on green led"
"3. turn on blue led"
the user then selects which led he wants to turn on by pushing the keypad number that corresponds to the led color.

if anyone has a program similar to this, it would be of great help...
i'm in the processing of learning this, so any help or code would be really appreciated.

thanks for looking
