I want to be able to record servo movements with a board. I have seen it done with a pic and eeprom.

but how does one do it with PBP? just need to set it up to look for, and then record all location data...

any hints? I can control servos no prob.. but haven't learned yet how to record data...

(by record, I mean twist the servo with my hand, then have it play back the motion at a later date)

thanks ya!!!!

Hi, Kenpo

Just link a pot to the servo arm, and record the voltage at cursor with an ADC in PIC.
Recording ( and playback after !!! ) will be done into a huge EEPROM outside the PIC ...

I'f you're a fine hobbyist .... use the feedback pot wiper inside the servo, it's supply voltage is already regulated !!!

Alain

PS : just think the servo gears won't appreciate your teaching too long a time ... a joystick to drive the servo would be smarter ...

thanks!

but how does one use the feedback pot wiper inside the servo?

that's what I'm really after here...
does the servo send BACK position data??

If you don't know about that ... it would be better for your servo life to use an external pot ...

Cherockees will soon attack : I just see the smoke clouds in the sky ...
