We have Pic Basic Pro installed.

We have plenty of PIC dip chips.

How do I get the bootloader?

Are you sure you want a bootloader? It sounds like you just want a programmer, and you will need one in any case, even if just to install the bootloader.
It's also bad form to start threads asking the same question all over the place. We all read all the sections - the sections are there mostly to help folks reading about a particular topic.

"Are you sure you want a bootloader?"

It's coming into focus here.

We need the hardware so that a PIC on a breadboard will program just like MELABS D-Stick and Experimenter boards.

The 'software programmer' built in to PBasic will do the rest I believe.

My apoligies. Got excited finding forum. Finding PICBasic for that matter.

Email 'Reply in Forum' have been going to Spam folder. I will fix it.

As mentioned in the other thread, you need a PIC that supports the use of a bootloader, you need a PIC programmer to be able to first program the PIC with the bootloader. There are plenty of PIC programmers around, as well as schematics on the internet if you wanted to build your own.

"if you wanted to build your own"

The JDM and David Tait serial programmers are pretty interesting.

Found WXPic software. Winpic guy says that's updated version of his.

It is. It looks real good.

We have Olimex PIC-PG1.

Working on getting it running.
